Brett Niver – President/Owner
Brett was raised in the middle of Ohio’s dairy county and was exposed to various farming practices. He started his career as a middle school Math and Science teacher and went back to college to obtain his Computer Science degree and began developing embedded computer controls. He most recently led a VMax R&D development team for EMC in Hopkinton, MA. He received the Presidents Award for innovation and dedication. He is excited about applying his skills to further IAS’s ability to economically meet the grower’s needs. He enjoys participating in choir, traveling, hiking and biking with his wife, daughter and Bell the family pooch.
Kevin Connolly – North American Sales Agent
Kevin lives in Wareham with his wife and enjoys spending time with his two boys who are his best friends. Kevin founded KC Enterprises in 2003 and began Irrigation Automation (IA) to help cranberry growers in 2004. He has sold over 500 “Auto-Start™” systems before selling “IA” to Brett and is thrilled about his expanded and more focused sales and business development role allowing him to spend more time with the farmers and farm managers using there idea’s to insure IAS provides the best possible solutions.
Paul Frink – Chief Technologist
Paul was the first employee of the original Irrigation Automation and responsible for the development of the software and customized server allowing for remote seamless accessibility by our customers. He integrated the field sensors with the wireless radios and is responsible for field service and start up as required. He is looking forward to the development of the new products and services and how it will lead to unique solutions. He enjoys off-roading with his customized LandCruiser, flying both airplanes and helicopters and spending time with his family.
Mike Thompson – Manufacturing Manager
Mike has been with company for 6 years and his role has expanded to include inventory management, manufacturing, pre-shipment testing, shipping and receiving along with radio tech support. He is energized with the new processes which will allow him to improve on IAS’s great customer support. You may have seen him locally performing as “Me, Myself, AnI”, producing past to contemporary music. He restores American sports cars and loves to ocean kayak.
Nancy Burgess – Financial Assistant
Nancy has extensive background in all levels of Financial Management and Human Resources and has worked in a number of business sectors including Food & Beverage. With an MBA in Accounting, she also is a Professional Development Instructor for Accounting Practices and Quickbooks software for small business. She will be bringing her small business development, accounting and cash management experience to assist in IAS's growth.
Jim O’Connor – Marketing Assistant
Jim sold his process control company where he wore many hat’s, he became the companies Food & Beverage marketing specialist and is looking forward to applying his many talents to the growth of “Irrigation Automation Systems”. He is a proud father with a daughter in the engineering program at NEU and a son in high school who plays varsity golf and lacrosse. He enjoys parenting most of the time, hiking, biking, golf, tennis. He is the chair of his town’s energy committee and likes everything about renewable energy solutions.
